SS-II型玻璃表面應力儀利用浮法玻璃表面錫擴散層引起的光波導效應來定量測量表面應力，也可定量測量化學鋼化玻璃的表面應力。該儀器測量高、結構新穎，使用簡單、攜帶方便。儀器外觀如右圖所示。上海華巖儀器設備有限公司供應SS-2型表面應力儀。
性能特點：
應用廣泛：適用于半鋼化玻璃、鋼化玻璃、化學鋼化玻璃的表面應力的定量測量。
輕巧實用：儀器僅重1.2Kg，體積15×20×4(cm)，將儀器置于浮法玻璃的浸錫面或化學鋼化玻璃的表面上，調節儀器的光路，即可測量。
計算方便：儀器目鏡視場中的臺階高度乘以儀器常數，即可得到玻璃的表面應力值。

1. Application
The instrument is applicable to non-destructively determine surface stress of the heat-strenthened or tempered float flat glass, and can also be used to measure the surface stress of the chemically ion-exchanged glass.
